Monash HR is seeking expressions of interest from motivated, service‑focused professionals to join our high‑performing teams across the Casual Workforce Team, HR Business Support, and Access HR functions.

As a HR Officer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality HR operational services that support staff across the University. This is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, people‑centred work in an environment that values integrity, collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

Working within a dynamic, customer‑focused HR service environment, you will:

  • Support employment lifecycle processes across casual, sessional, academic, and professional staff cohorts.
  • Provide timely HR advice and operational guidance aligned with University policies and procedures.
  • Manage high‑volume HR activities including data transactions, contract updates, and timesheet enquiries with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Utilise CRM and HRIS systems to support clients, advocate self‑service, and maintain high standards of compliance and confidentiality.
  • Prepare professional documentation including correspondence, reports, and workflow metrics.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance service quality, system optimisation, and customer experience.
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders across Monash HR.

About You

We are looking for candidates who bring:

  • Strong administrative and organisational capability, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A commitment to exceptional customer service and experience working within a CRM or service delivery framework.
  • Well‑developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with diverse clients.
  • Sound analytical and problem‑solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confidence working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • High computer literacy, including experience with HRIS, e‑recruitment systems, and business software.
  • Knowledge of HR principles, policies, and compliance — ideally within a higher education context.
  • Experience handling high-volume inbound phone and email enquiries - applicable across the Access HR function.
