Remuneration: $110,527 - $121,227 pa HEW Level 07 (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity

As the Team Leader, Business Support, you will provide specialised advice on a range of HR policy and process matters with a focus on lifecycle employment changes. Reporting to the Team Manager, HR Business Support, this role will see you provide leadership, guidance, and direct supervision to a team of 4-5 staff.

In this role you will:

  • Undertake and oversee risk, compliance and quality assurance for the fixed-term renewal process 
  • Lead, supervise and guide a team of 4-5 staff, including work prioritisation, coaching and mentoring, performance development, guidance on compliance with university policy and procedure, and encouraging a strong customer focus 
  • Provide assistance to the Team Manager, HR Business Support with complex fixed-term renewals, approvals and reporting and provide processing support to the team during peak periods 
  • Support and co-ordinate a work environment of continuous review and improvement 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading and overseeing a successful function, administrative process or service
  • Highly developed planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to interact with, negotiate with and gain cooperation from internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and ability to work with a variety of HR systems and infrastructures
  • Demonstrated ability to work under broad direction with a strategic mindset to look beyond daily operations
