The Opportunity
Directly supporting the Executive Director, Student Recruitment and Admissions, the Associate Director leads dedicated teams to achieve Monash Group student commencement targets across Indonesia. The role oversees in-country recruitment and conversion staff for Monash University Australia, Monash University Indonesia, Monash College and in partnership with Monash University Malaysia, ensuring complete strategy alignment, consistent performance and an optimal student profile across all entities.
The position drives lead generation, engagement and recruitment across diverse channels including agents, schools, transnational education, direct, B2B and sponsored cohorts while leading the strategic expansion of Monash University Indonesia’s new undergraduate offerings into domestic and international markets. Crucially, the Associate Director coordinates all Indonesian recruitment activities into a cohesive, high-performing operation, translating strategy into execution, monitoring targets and delivering key market intelligence to shape impactful campaigns.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading end-to-end recruitment strategy for Indonesia, including agent partnerships, in-market activations and pipeline development
- Managing and mentoring a team of recruitment professionals, setting clear performance goals aligned to institutional targets
- Collaborating across faculties, admissions and marketing teams to deliver coordinated, market-specific campaigns
- Analysing market intelligence and enrolment data to inform tactical decisions and report on outcomes to senior stakeholders
Key Selection Criteria
You will bring a proven track record of developing and executing creative recruitment, sales and conversion strategies within large, complex and transnational education environments to consistently deliver target student loads. Grounded in a deep understanding of international education systems, strategic brand planning and pipeline analytics, you quickly synthesise complex data into actionable, innovative solutions under pressure.
A collaborative and trusted adviser, you comfortably influence senior leaders and key partners across matrixed environments. You bring significant expertise in cross-border people leadership, demonstrating a strong capability to manage both direct and matrixed teams across multiple countries, while fostering high performance, continuous improvement and strategic alignment across all channels.
