The Opportunity

We are seeking an Educational Designer to provide faculty-wide leadership and expert consultancy in educational design, curriculum transformation, assessment innovation and digital learning. This role partners with academic and professional staff to support the adoption of evidence-informed, future-focused approaches to teaching and learning. With a strong emphasis on the ethical integration of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, it contributes to shaping contemporary educational practice and strengthening learning environments across the faculty and broader university context.

Working collaboratively across disciplines and professional communities, the Educational Designer will lead the design, implementation and evaluation of initiatives that enhance curriculum quality, digital learning environments and educational technologies. The role provides high-level advice and guidance to staff, supports quality assurance processes and contributes to developing standards, templates and exemplars that promote consistent and innovative approaches to learning and teaching. It also facilitates communication around curriculum renewal and coordinates professional development opportunities that build capability and support continuous improvement.

We are seeking someone with a postgraduate qualification, or progress toward one and extensive experience in educational design, curriculum enhancement and learning technologies within complex organisations. Strong interpersonal, communication and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively, influence stakeholders and translate strategic priorities into practical solutions. Experience in mentoring colleagues, delivering engaging professional learning and contributing to pedagogical innovation will also be highly regarded.
