The Opportunity

The Centre of Cardiovascular Research and Education in Therapeutics that sits under the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Officer.

As our Senior Project Officer, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of projects within the National Cardiac Registry. Serving as the vital bridge between our project team, the university, and external clients, you will ensure strategic deliverables are met on time. This dynamic role requires sound judgment, exceptional administrative expertise, and a process-driven mindset to support project excellence and assist the Program Manager with high-level reporting.

You will scope, plan, and monitor project deliverables against budgets and timeframes while managing meeting schedules and change management strategies. As a subject matter expert, you will build strong relationships across an extensive stakeholder network. You will also resolve complex issues through research, manage project risks, and prepare high-quality briefings, reports, and presentations. When required, you will provide guidance to team members and external contractors to maintain peak delivery standards.

We are seeking an operational expert with a degree and extensive relevant experience, or a strong background of management expertise in technical or administrative fields. An equivalent combination of education and experience is also highly valued. Knowledge of the Australian public and private hospital and health system environment, encompassing both research and clinical aspects as well as knowledge of clinical quality registries and their use as a tool for clinician engagement and quality improvement is highly desirable.
