The Opportunity

The School of Nursing and Midwifery has an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to contribute to the EngageMedsHome Project, an Australian Research Council Discovery Project focused on improving medicines communication between older people living at home, families and health professionals. Using reflexive ethnography and experience-based co-design, the project will develop and evaluate strategies to support safer medicines communication across community and home settings.

The Research Fellow will contribute to key project activities including interviews, observations, co-design workshops, feasibility testing, data analysis, manuscript preparation and knowledge dissemination. Working independently and collaboratively, this position will provide an opportunity to build expertise in co-design research, medication safety, health services research and evaluation of complex interventions.

We are seeking someone with a doctoral qualification in a relevant health-related discipline, such as nursing, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, psychology, pharmacy, health sociology or health sciences, or equivalent research experience. The successful applicant will also demonstrate expertise in research design, qualitative and quantitative analysis, manuscript preparation, co-design methodologies and engagement with diverse healthcare stakeholders.

If you are passionate about improving medicines communication and contributing to research that creates meaningful health impact for older people and their families, we encourage you to apply.
