The Opportunity

The International Education Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting students to access life changing global learning opportunities through Monash Abroad programs. Working at the heart of international education, you will provide specialist advice, ensure the consistent delivery of key processes for inbound and outbound mobility programs, contribute to the effective administration of Monash Abroad, and help promote its programs while responding to the evolving international higher education landscape.

This position will be responsible for promoting Monash Abroad programs and providing expert advice to students on available opportunities and eligibility requirements. You will deliver a seamless student experience across application, nomination, enrolment and orientation processes, while administering scholarships, grants and OS-HELP loans with accuracy and efficiency. The role will support the recruitment and ongoing engagement of both outgoing Monash students and incoming international exchange and study abroad students, coordinating essential services including visas, overseas health cover, accommodation and pre-arrival support. You will build and maintain strong relationships with international partner institutions, Monash faculties, government agencies and professional associations, represent the University through partner engagement activities, and ensure the integrity of student, financial and program records through accurate reporting, database management and regular audits.

To be successful in this role you will have outstanding organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver exceptional customer service. You will be an effective communicator who builds positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, exercises sound judgement and initiative, and brings strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. You will be highly proficient in Microsoft Office and business systems, thrive working both independently and collaboratively, and have an appreciation of international education, ideally supported by experience living, studying or travelling overseas.
