The Opportunity
Join Monash University as a Senior Security Coordinator and take on a key leadership role in safeguarding one of Australia's largest and most prestigious university communities. This is an opportunity to lead the delivery of physical security services across campus, manage complex incidents and major events, and influence strategic security initiatives that protect students, staff and visitors. Working in a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will partner with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, oversee security operations and contractors, and drive continuous improvements to security practices, procedures and campus safety.

About You

Demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, including criminal law, privacy, surveillance devices and occupational health and safety.

Proven experience interpreting and developing policies, procedures and case management practices while providing expert advice to stakeholders.

Strong analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills within a security or law enforcement environment, with the ability to identify trends and emerging risks.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, stakeholder engagement, negotiation and training delivery.

Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to lead, coach and coordinate teams to achieve operational objectives.

Experience managing budgets, financial administration and reporting.

High level computer literacy, including security systems, data analysis tools and the Microsoft Office Suite
