The Opportunity
The School of Primary and Allied Health Care has an exciting opportunity for a Student Placements Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality student placement operations. This position provides strategic and operational leadership for the School’s Student Placements function, driving effective service delivery, continuous improvement and alignment with Faculty and University priorities. Working with key stakeholders, the role supports quality placement experiences for students, academic teams and external partners across the health education sector.
The Student Placements Manager will lead a dedicated team delivering student placement services, fostering collaboration, continuous improvement and customer-focused practices. The position oversees operational planning, reporting, compliance and quality assurance activities, while providing expert advice to support informed decision-making. Through strong stakeholder partnerships, the role will enhance placement opportunities, strengthen processes and contribute to the School’s strategic priorities.
To be successful in this role, the Student Placements Manager will have relevant postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. The position requires demonstrated expertise in operational management, team leadership, stakeholder engagement, process improvement, data analysis and the ability to provide informed advice within a complex tertiary education environment. With strong knowledge of student placement requirements, systems and relevant legislative obligations, this role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the continued improvement and delivery of high-quality student placement services within the School of Primary and Allied Health Care.
