The Opportunity

The Senior Campus Experience and Major Events Coordinator plays a key role in delivering high‑quality projects, programs and events that strengthen student engagement and campus life across Monash’s domestic campuses. Working under broad direction, you’ll coordinate complex project activities, from scoping deliverables and developing creative event concepts to monitoring timelines, reporting on progress and supporting change management initiatives.

From large-scale major events to grassroots campus experiences, this position brings ideas to life through expert project management, stakeholder collaboration and a deep understanding of what drives audience engagement.  You’ll also be a central liaison point between the Campus Experience and Major Events team, internal partners, student associations and external stakeholders. The role also oversees a small team of casual and volunteer staff, ensuring events and programs are delivered in line with best practice, University priorities and a culture of continuous improvement.

You will bring extensive experience in event and project coordination, with a proven ability to deliver high‑quality programs within agreed timeframes and budgets. Your analytical and problem‑solving skills enable you to navigate complex issues, produce clear reports and contribute to broader processes such as policy development, governance and performance improvement.

Highly developed communication and relationship‑building skills are essential, along with the ability to consult, negotiate and gain cooperation from diverse stakeholders. You’ll also have experience supervising staff, motivating teams and fostering a strong customer‑focused culture. Advanced computer literacy and strong planning and organisational capability round out your skill set.
