About The Opportunity

This is a senior, high‑impact role within Monash’s Talent, Reward and Mobility (TRM) team -  one that places you at the centre of executive remuneration, governance and strategic decision‑making. As the Senior Manager, Executive Reward, you’ll lead the end‑to‑end assessment, analysis and recommendation of remuneration outcomes for the University’s most senior leaders, ensuring every decision is accurate, timely and aligned with policy, legislation and best‑practice principles . You’ll oversee the daily operations of the executive reward function, champion consistency and operational excellence, and contribute to the continuous improvement of frameworks, tools and processes that support executive appointments.

You’ll work closely with senior executives across the University, including the Office of the Vice‑Chancellor and President, the Vice-Chancellor’s Group, and key partners across TRM - Executive Talent Acquisition, Remuneration, and Strategy, Governance and Compliance - building trusted relationships, providing expert advice, and preparing high‑quality reports and briefing papers that will be central to shaping remuneration outcomes that support Monash’s strategic priorities.

About You 

You’re an experienced reward professional with the judgement, insight and composure needed to advise senior executives on complex remuneration matters. You bring a sound understanding of executive reward principles, frameworks and contemporary trends, along with the ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation to deliver practical advice in line with best-practice. You combine superior quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to translate complex information into high‑quality reports, briefing papers and recommendations for senior audiences, including committees and the University’s senior executive.

You build trusted relationships quickly, engaging with influence and confidence across senior leadership groups. You’re someone who leads with integrity, maintains strict confidentiality, and brings a steady, solutions‑focused approach to managing sensitive remuneration cases from end to end. You enjoy coaching and developing others, contributing to a strong service culture, and working collaboratively across TRM to deliver consistent, compliant and high‑quality outcomes.
