The Opportunity

The Department Coordinator provides high-level administrative and operational support to one of three Departments within the Faculty of Information Technology. You will coordinate a range of activities including Department events, meetings and committees, complex projects, reporting, purchasing, equipment maintenance and day-to-day operational services.

Working closely with the Departments and Operations Manager, Head of Department and a range of internal stakeholders, you will support  the effective delivery of the Department’s communication, resourcing, equipment and space requirements. You will provide timely advice and support, contribute to governance and compliance activities, and identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and service delivery.

About You

You will be an experienced administrator and coordinator with strong organisational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities, processes and activities to meet deadlines. You will bring a hands-on approach to service delivery, with the judgement and initiative to resolve issues, provide sound advice and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

You will have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and work with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes. Strong computer literacy, attention to detail and experience coordinating events, communications, data and operational processes will be important, along with a commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence.
