The Opportunity
The Faculty Project and Governance Officer works as part of a multi-disciplinary team to provide high-level project, administrative and executive support to senior staff across the Faculty of Arts. The position supports the planning, coordination and monitoring of Faculty projects, strategic initiatives and academic coursework reviews, contributing to the delivery of strategic and operational priorities.
The role provides executive and administrative support to the Deputy Deans and Faculty committees, boards and working groups, including coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, reports, correspondence and minutes, managing action items and providing diary support. The position also supports Course Review Panels, academic administration and compliance with relevant University policies and procedures, while providing timely advice and maintaining high standards of service, confidentiality and professionalism.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent administrative, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and coordinate complex processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercise sound judgement and initiative, build effective stakeholder relationships, and contribute to continuous improvement. Highly developed digital literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office and business systems are also required..
