The Opportunity
Join the BioEYES Australia program as an Educational Outreach Officer, helping inspire the next generation of scientists through engaging, hands-on science education. Working with the Outreach Education Coordinator and Director of Outreach Education, you will deliver interactive biomedical science programs to primary and secondary students across Melbourne and Victoria, making complex scientific concepts accessible and exciting.
In this varied role, you will support the effective delivery of BioEYES through program teaching, administration, teacher professional development workshops, student surveys and ongoing communication with teachers, students and stakeholders. You will also maintain educational equipment and materials, including microscopes and fish, while contributing to program evaluation, reporting and the development of new outreach initiatives.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised professional with a tertiary qualification in biological or biomedical science and/or teaching, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and training. You will bring strong communication and administrative skills, a commitment to educational excellence, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively and independently. If you are passionate about science education and inspiring young learners, we encourage you to apply.
