About the Role

Develop and manage digital products for ABC iview, ensuring alignment with the digital strategy for Product & Content Technology and the ABCs strategic objectives.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Drive and oversee the digital product development, implementation and continual review of the ABC iview mobile products (iOS and Android) to achieve a world-class digital experience for audiences.
  • Drive and develop effective, innovative and measurable ABC audience engagement strategies to achieve objectives that will engage, retain and build new audiences.
  • Establish objectives, undertake high-level data analysis and provide sound recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders to inform decision making on roadmap development.
  • Actively gain a deep understanding of audience experience to identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow audience reach, improve audience experience and drive digital growth.
  • Develop and communicate relevant success metrics and objectives to assess the effectiveness and performance of the products. Track and act on product performance based on analytics and user feedback.
  • Understand, own and prioritise the product backlog, including collaborating with stakeholders and teams in the prioritisation of the product backlog to maximise audience value. Be the primary point of contact for additions to the product backlog that meet audience needs.
  • Cultivate and foster a culture of creativity that drives staff to continually seek new innovative ways to deliver content and reach audiences.


About You

  • Demonstrated success working as a full cycle product manager, or in a similar role. Experience managing a Video on Demand or other streaming service highly regarded.
  • Significant experience in the development and management of digital products.
  • Outstanding relationship management and communication skills; can negotiate, influence and deal effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • High level of self-motivation, with outstanding analytical, planning, and organisational skills, including the ability to proactively identify and action issues and opportunities.
  • Demonstrated significant ability to successfully adjust and work effectively with changing situations.
  • Demonstrable experience in understanding customer needs and delivering customer value.
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability establish strategic relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and influence the achievement of shared objectives.
