The Role 

Join Australia’s most trusted news organisation as a camera operator in our Regional, Rural & Metro News team. Based across Parramatta and Ultimo, you’ll play a key role in producing distinctive video and still images for broadcast and digital platforms, contributing to the ABC’s mission of delivering quality journalism to audiences. 
 
The Job 

• Initiate and deliver creative video and stills content across platforms to tight deadlines.
• Edit video for broadcast and social media using advanced tools and techniques.
• Collaborate on editorial planning and contribute to daily news coverage.
• Engage with communities to source authentic stories reflecting Australia’s diversity.
• Stay ahead of technological changes and adapt to new workflows.

About You 

You’re a creative and collaborative professional with strong technical skills in video production and a passion for telling diverse stories. 

You'll have:  

• Demonstrated expertise as a news camera operator and high-level understanding of TV production processes.
• Experience in video editing and proficiency with editing tools such as Edius, Framelight or Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop).
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively under pressure, with excellent communication skills.
