Coordinator – Mobile Equipment Maintenance
This is a rare and unique opportunity to join the site leadership of a global mining organisation with a vision for ambitious growth and an enviable record of community engagement, sustainability and safety.
Reporting to the Superintendent - Mobile Equipment Maintenance, as the Coordinator – Mobile Equipment Maintenance you will ensure that critical and non-critical maintenance tasks are planned and executed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively, supporting site targets. You will focus on compliance with planning, reliability, HSEC, and statutory requirements, while optimising performance and minimising downtime.
This role is offered on an 8/6: 4/3 roster FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane and DIDO/BIBO from Cloncurry & Mt.Isa.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, implementing, and ensuring adherence to a Mobile Maintenance Management Framework that aligns with MMG Standards.
- Supervise selection and allocation of resources and ensure work teams follow the Mobile Maintenance Planning, Scheduling, and Reliability Frameworks to deliver efficient and effective maintenance.
- Assist in developing and overseeing HME breakdown management plans to minimize unscheduled downtime.
- Drive tracking and reporting KPIs, SHEC, costs, schedules, and quality of the mobile maintenance portfolio, escalating potential risks to the Superintendent.
- Champion the use of onboard Equipment Monitoring Systems, providing training to the greater maintenance team on system operation.
About you
- Demonstrated function leadership experience in underground mobile maintenance (5+ years).
- Understanding of budgetary and finance systems in relation to mobile maintenance with SAP experience preferable.
- In-depth understanding of Planning, Scheduling & Work Management requirements for mobile fleets.
- Sound understanding of reliability processes & requirements for mobile fleets.
- Awareness of Queensland and Australian standards, statutory requirements and legislation.
Education, Qualifications, Tickets, Licences:
- Mechanical or Electrical Trade qualified or tertiary Mechanical / Electrical engineering qualifications.
