Supply Officer
Reporting to the Supply Supervisor, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to creating and maintaining a safe working environment and have recent experience in warehouse and logistics and a strong customer focus, you are able to reconcile inventory and recognise errors in inventory data or stock levels and confidently correct issues. Having a well-developed understanding of warehouse and logistics processes as well as strong product knowledge of mining inventory, you can demonstrate an awareness of the legislation associated with warehouse operations in the mining industry.
This role will be based on an 8/6, drive in drive out (DIDO) from Cloncurry or Mt Isa or fly in fly out (FIFO) from Townsville or Brisbane.
Qualifications Skills and Competencies:
- Transactional computer literacy in ERP systems, preferably SAP (essential).
- Capable user of spread sheets (MS excel) – desirable.
- Able to reconcile inventory.
- Forklift licence (essential)
- Cert III in Supply Chain Operations or demonstrable experience in warehouse and logistics.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring correct quantity and quality of inbound goods through completion of goods receiving and receipting including safe unloading of vehicles.
- Maintaining accurate inventory through correct labelling, storage and issuing of materials.
- Maintaining a safe, clean and serviceable work environment by following storage and handling procedures and through diligent housekeeping.
- Ensuring security of goods and warehouse facilities.
- Preparing documentation and goods for despatch from site.
- Completing all goods movements within SAP to accurately reflect the quantity, location, serviceability and value of items.
- Completing stock counts for managed inventory and book out (issue) goods based on consumer usage.
- Identifying and acting upon opportunities to improve material availability and service to customers through improved stock levels, data inaccuracies and better processes.
- Undertake reasonable additional duties as requested by the Supply Supervisor, including occasionally filling in for that position in the supervisor’s absence.
