Specialist – Sourcing and Contracting
Reporting to the Principal Sourcing and Contracting, you will drive end-to-end supply activities including strategy development, market engagement, and contract management to deliver maximum value and operational efficiency across our Australian assets.
This role will be based In Melbourne, Victoria on a Monday – Friday roster.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies:
- Demonstrated operational experience with supporting degree qualifications in Supply, Business or Commercial, or Professional qualification/certification from related professional body i.e. Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS), is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of sourcing activities, negotiating, developing commercial arrangements and competent in the use of SAP, Ariba or similar ERP system.
- Ability to understand and apply category management principals, scope of works and needs of specific categories.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Conduct end to end supply activity from strategy to contract execution and handover.
- Operate thorough market engagements activities including, direct negotiations, EOI’s, RFQ’s and RFP’s.
- Engage closely with internal and external stakeholders to support and deliver on their requirements.
- Develop and present recommendations based on informed intelligence.
- Manage and deliver multiple supply activities simultaneously while driving maximising value and benefit.
- Review supply processes and practices to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
