We are pleased to advise that we seek a Deputy Manager KCM Procurement & Contract. Based in Khoemacau Mine / Gaborone Office and reporting to Director Supply Chain, the purpose of this job is to manage of procurement and contract processes to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods, services, and works, including but limited to Equipment, Material, Spare Parts, Constructions works, door-to-door logistic management, etc, from Low-Cost Countries (LCCs), such as China.

To be considered, candidates must have
• Excellent communication and expression skills in both Mandarin and English as working languages.
• Cultural awareness and adaptability to work effectively with suppliers in LCCs, especially in China.
• High Level Supply Chain, Procurement or equivalent skills in analysis and optimisation.
• High level of ability to collaborate both with functional peers.
• High level of ability to plan and prioritise work in a complex organisational environment.
• High level of influencing skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Competent in the use of SAP or similar ERP system with strong understanding of Procure to Pay and warehouse operations processes.
• Skilled in building a continuous process improvement culture.
• Able to work independently and provide expert advice.
• Competent in the preparation of strategies to define and execute optimisation opportunities for continuous improvement within supply chain.
• High level commercial acumen.
Key to success in this role is the ability to
• Insight into best practice in other organisations/sectors within supply chain.
• Knowledge of E2E supply chain management and market dynamics in LCCs, particularly China.
• Process management and improvement.
• Analytical capability.
• Familiarity with MMG’s Business Model and aspiration.
• Understanding of MMG Procurement Policies, standards and practices.
• Understanding of MMG Warehouse and Inventory Policies, standards and practices.
• Ability to collect and use data to form solutions to problems.
