Dugald River is one of the world’s top 10 zinc operations, located near Cloncurry in Queensland. Dugald River was successfully commissioned ahead of schedule and under budget, with first production of zinc concentrate in October 2017.Dugald River is estimated to have a mine life of 20+ years processing an average of 1.8 million tonnes of ore per annum. The operation predominantly produces zinc concentrate, with by-products including lead and silver.
Senior Planner
Reporting into the Superintendent Planning and Reliability as the Senior Planner, you will drive success as you lead a team and operationally contribute to business efficiencies. Your experience will ensure you are able to deliver successful outcomes while creating, maintaining, and modifying site maintenance strategies for all equipment and infrastructure on site using ARMS program OnePM.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Extensive planning and scheduling exposure in either mineral processing fixed plant maintenance or UG mobile fleet operations environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge in relation to strategy creation and failure mode elimination.
- Ability to adapt to changes in work area responsibilities as directed by management.
- Technical trades qualification or Engineering qualifications in the appropriate discipline from a recognised institution.
- Manual driver's license.
- High level understanding of common Maintenance practices and standards.
- Exceptional knowledge of SAP in particular SAP PM and Master Data objects.
You will be responsible for:
- Support the creation, scope and planning of maintenance work orders that enable effective utilisation of resources, including personnel, contractors, materials, and documentation to produce the rough-cut plan and maintain the 12 weeks look ahead effectively.
- Build, communicate and deliver accurate weekly work schedules reflecting all maintenance activities, ensuring that they are adequately resourced (materials and labour) and capacity levelled.
- Ensure all Work Orders flagged for rescheduling are considered for the next available schedule.
- Prepare and manage the weekly planning and scheduling meetings to ensure alignment and commitment of resources.
- Review Subsequent Notification are being raised to ensure PM’s are effective.
- Review monthly planning KPI’s with execution superintendents.
- Continuously improve maintenance practices to enable effective maintenance performance.
- Development of task lists for reoccurring work to support effective planning.
- Maintain site master data changes as required, based on equipment strategy reviews (as advised by Improvement Engineers), and identified quality errors.
- Ensure development of the maintenance budgets and assist execution teams with commentary for monthly variance meetings.
- Engage with our contactor partners and flow the MMG Contractor management.
- Ensure development and changes to CCV documents are carried out in a timely manner.
