Operator Mining – Charge Up
We are seeking an experienced Charge Up Operator to join our Mining team. Reporting to the Supervisor – Mining, you will be responsible for the safe preparation and charging of blast holes for stope production.
Roster: 8/7, 7/6 (Days & Nights)
Location: DIDO from Cloncurry or Mount Isa; FIFO from Townsville or Brisbane
Qualifications, skills & Experience
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence
- Ability to pass a National Police Check and Pre-Employment Medical
- Eligible for Explosives Security Clearance
- Certificate of Competency in the following units:
- RIIBLA205E – Store, handle and transport explosives
- RIIBLA304E – Conduct underground production shotfiring
- RIIBLA305E – Conduct secondary blasting
- RIIBLA303E – Conduct underground development shotfiring
- Working at Heights competency
- Experience operating Normet Charmec charge rigs or similar equipment is highly regarded
- Solid understanding of underground mining and long-hole stope production
