Your Impact

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Asahi team as a Facility Operator at our Albury site. This role is responsible for cleaning duties across the manufacturing site, in alignment with GMP standards.  Cleaning tasks are varied and range from general housekeeping to deep cleaning of the manufacturing lines, and support the broader manufacturing team by completing tasks that cannot be completed in the day-to-day of operations of technicians. You'll be an asset to the team, and integral in ensuring the safety and quality of operations on site.

Key responsibilities

• General housekeeping to ensure safe clean work environment
• Maintaining accurate cleaning records, and completing cleaning tasks within required schedules
• Daily cleaning of the administrative areas (cleaning of tea rooms, toilets, foyer)
• Management of Tanker Unload area including GMP, tanker trough dosing, chemical testing and pressure washing when required. 
• Routine cleaning activities within the manufacturing areas to maintain 5S and GMP standards including use of scrub tech for floors, sweeping, mopping in and around equipment, wiping down.
• Scheduled deep cleaning of the manufacturing lines and infrastructure including Glass/ Perspex/ Stainless Steel
• Assist in scheduled deep cleaning of manufacturing lines during scheduled stoppages (changeover, asset management, annual CIP and overhauls)
• Handling of industrial chemicals, following safety and handling procedures 
• Maintains a safe work environment for yourself and your colleagues including the use of correct PPE always

About You

To be successful in this position you must possess the following:

• Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience with a variety of cleaning/ house-keeping duties in a relevant environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Ability to follow written work instructions, keep accurate records and have a strong attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team environment, with a high level of engagement and participation
• A strong commitment to safety, ensuring that not only yourself but that your colleagues are operating in a safe manner and following processes accurately
