Your Impact

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing at our Tullamarine site, the Engineering Manager will lead the site’s engineering operations. Ensuring compliance, reliable utilities delivery, sustainable practices, and efficient maintenance systems. You'll also be responsible for the execution of the capital works program, the upkeep of infrastructure, and the performance of the engineering team, all while supporting Asahi’s Net Zero Ambition.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of the Asahi Way across all engineering practices and ensure alignment with corporate standards and compliance.
  • Lead effective preventative and planned maintenance initiatives that optimise equipment uptime and support site efficiency.
  • Ensure all utilities (energy, water, CO₂, etc.) are delivered efficiently to site departments and support sustainability reduction targets.
  • Build engineering capability through coaching, goal setting, and people development, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee the site’s capital works program, including planning, execution, and compliance with legal and business standards.
  • Ensure the integrity and performance of automation, control systems, buildings, roads, and safety systems across the site.

 

 

About You

You are a technically skilled and strategically minded engineering professional with hands-on experience in manufacturing environments. You’re driven by continuous improvement, sustainability goals, and developing high-performing teams.

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical is preferred).
  • Engineering experience in a Packaging or Brewing & Utilities environment, or within similar manufacturing processes.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance systems, automation/control systems, and engineering compliance standards.
  • Experience in managing utilities operations and delivering energy reduction initiatives.
  • Proficiency in CAPEX planning and project execution.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage industrial relations effectively.
  • Strategic thinker with a drive for innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence
