Your Impact

Reporting to the National Logistics Manager, the Customer Logistics & Assets Manager role at Papakura is pivotal in managing the daily customer logistics support, asset management, and delivery administration activities across our ABNZ and TBDC networks. You’ll work closely with internal Commercial, Supply Chain, and Warehouse Operations teams, as well as external stakeholders including third-party logistics providers and major customers, to deliver seamless, reliable service.

This role offers the opportunity to drive operational excellence, continuous improvement initiatives, and asset optimisation programs while enhancing customer service levels and supporting business performance. As a key link in cross-functional projects and service improvement strategies, you’ll have scope to influence outcomes and add tangible value for our customers and business.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage daily customer logistics, delivery administration, and asset management operations for ABNZ and TBDC.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, commercial teams, warehouse operations and 3PL providers to deliver seamless service.
  • Oversee national asset control programs, driving accuracy, minimising cost, and enhancing customer experience.
  • Resolve customer delivery queries, manage returns and product recalls, and coordinate special customer requests.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to lift customer service performance, streamline processes, and optimise logistics operations.
  • Lead, coach and develop a proactive, high-performing team of two direct reports, fostering a safety-first, performance-driven culture.

 

About You

You are a customer-focused logistics leader with strong operational experience, a proactive approach to problem solving, and a collaborative leadership style. You’ll be confident in managing relationships across internal and external stakeholders, driving operational improvements, and leading a high-performing team.


In addition, you will bring:

  • Proven experience in a transport planning, customer logistics or supply chain support role.
  • Solid people leadership experience, with a track record of coaching and developing teams.
  • Expertise in transport, logistics operations, warehouse processes and asset management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Excellent communication, relationship management, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, PowerBI and SAP highly beneficial.
