Your Impact

The Category Executive is responsible for providing high quality category and shopper insights that provide strategic and tactical direction for commercial business decisions and communications.

This role will see the Category Executive supporting the Category Management teams with Category Reviews, Portfolio planning and NPD development. In addition, you will be responsible for, and own, internal reporting for the ABNZ business as well as managing data supplier relationships. This is a broad role which will see you engage and be exposed to all levels of the business.

This role is a great step up for someone with FMCG/ Grocery/ Retail sales experience ready for some autonomy and an analytical mind!

Key responsibilities

• Set up & maintain ongoing business reporting to identify trends in local market including ownership of key reports and implementation of Nielsen Discover/Power BI reporting.
• Provide and be developed in supporting Category Managers.
• Accountable for management of scan data and Nielsen/IRI business relationships.
• Mine and disseminate market intelligence on global and local market trends to provide long term view on changing category and shopper needs
• Deliver regular updates to the business on long & short term trends and competitor launches from lead overseas markets
• Build and present multi-source insights to support business direction and strategy, and customer category reviews
• Support Category Managers on ad-hoc basis.

About You

• An analytical and detailed mindset with an affinity for data
• Strong Power BI skills is highly advantageous
• Advanced Excel
• Tertiary Educated
• FMCG / Liquor / Beverages experience
• Previous Sales, Retail or Marketing experience
