Your Impact

 

As Senior Technical Development Manager, you will work closely with internal and external subject matter experts to deploy learning and technical development initiatives that align with broader Supply Chain and leadership objectives and compliance obligations.  You will utilise and seek to improve learning programs, and the use of e-learning platforms; all to make a profound impact on the people & operations within the Asahi Beverages business.

Managing a team of Technical Development Leads and a Technical Compliance Partner, you will provide mentorship to your team while aligning them to the broader technical development an Operational Excellence strategy.

The role can be flexibly based in Brisbane or Melbourne, requiring routine travel to our network of sites across Australia.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Lead and coordinate technical development across Supply Chain (Manufacturing & Logistics), building alignment to strategy and operational needs.

  • Manage and develop a national team of Technical Development Partners and foster a strong community of practice across sites.

  • Co-pilot with the Capability team in People & Corporate Affairs to deliver a “One Asahi” approach to development.

  • Oversee learning governance, including the Learning Management System (LMS) for Supply Chain, ensuring consistency and compliance.

  • Design and implement training solutions, including annual development plans, facilitation, and external training partnerships.

  • Provide thought leadership, conduct skills gap analyses, evaluate training effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement in capability uplift.

If you have a strong background in supply chain as a multi-site operational leader, or in managing training compliance within a diverse workforce - this could be the opportunity for you!

This role requires:

  • Experience in operations management, project management, and training/learning solution implementation
  • Demonstrated ability to engage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams, build rapport at all levels, and take people on the journey to successfully navigate changing processes
  • Experience managing training, safety, or quality compliance in a supply chain environment
  • Leadership experience and the ability to mentor/ develop team members
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
  • Familiarity with governance practices in capability development
  • Qualifications in Supply Change disciplines, or Training & Assessment would be highly regarded
