Your Impact

 

The National Business Manager is a critical role responsible for driving sustainable and profitable growth for Asahi Beverages multi-beverage alcohol portfolio.

This role will take the lead on one of our most strategic retail customers, Dan Murphy’s, with full accountability for delivering net revenue, profit, and other key performance targets. You’ll also oversee all aspects of the commercial trading relationship, helping to shape the future of our partnership.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Build & enhance the commercial relationship between Asahi Beverages and the customer through developing a strong understanding of the customer’s business drivers and strategy
  • Deliver upon agreed internal Sales performance metrics, including but not limited to Volume, NSV and GCSC whilst meeting the requirements to support profitable growth for the customer.
  • Develop strategies for and lead large scale, complex business negotiations with the customer – including long-term Trading Term agreements, bi annual cost price increases and trade plan execution.
  • Aligning Asahi’s strategies to that of the customer to build category focused plans that deliver upon joint growth ambitions.
  • Oversight of the customer’s price & promotional program and Game Plan development & execution through a team of portfolio focused Account Managers
  • Deliver against yearly budgeted customer/channel P&L outcomes including GCSC, NSV and NSV/HL.
  • Deliver yearly share growth targets.
  • Leadership of a team of Sales professionals – including Account Managers, Account Executives & Promotional Specialist.
  • Embed high performance standards and a culture of shared learning within the Retail Accounts team and across the Sales function.

 

About You

 

  • Proven track record in sales and customer relationship management dealing with major accounts
  • Experience in negotiating and closing commercial contracts
  • Strategic account planning; able to apply market/ industry knowledge and insights to evaluate and develop Asahi Beverages and customer opportunities.
  • Revenue planning demonstrating advanced financial literacy, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Deep knowledge of category management principles, tools and best-in-class practice
  • Experienced negotiator able to plan negotiations and close out sales and contractual agreements.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities
