Impact

Reporting to the Head of Manufacturing – Multi site, this role will see you provide leadership for the Operations function and establish & maintain a culture of performance and continuous improvement.  You will be accountable for safety & quality results, site P&L, delivering on critical KPI commitments, leading and developing leaders, Asahi way maturity & executing/developing 1-3YP linked to our overall business strategy. 

 

About the Role

  • Drive a program of continuous cost reduction, utilising financial management systems and create a continuous pipeline of improvement projects
  • Identify and eliminate waste in the Supply Chain value stream and ensure an effective capital management program
  • End to end accountability of site operation and culture (engagement)
  • Lead Enterprise bargaining agreements
  • Support the team to deliver short and long-term objectives
  • Drive maturity improvements within the Asahi way 
  • Develop & execute strategic roadmap for site (3YP) with alignment to Asahi’s MTP & future site needs
  • Build/manage relationships with key stakeholders across our supply chain network
  • Lead, manage and support your team ensuring adherence to the annual people cycle, including performance reviews, development plans, talent, and succession management
  • Continue to develop and deploy solutions to improve productivity and drive a performance culture
  • Facilitate the implementation of various change initiatives



About You

Possessing exceptional communication, influencing and change management skills, your resume will clearly demonstrate continuous improvement & change within a traditional manufacturing / distribution environment.

In addition, you will possess:

  • Tertiary qualification in Management, Food Technology, Science, Engineering (or related) preferably with post grad qualification (MBA) or suitable FMCG experience
  • Intimate knowledge of ISO and / or Safety management systems, and experience in their application in an FMCG environment.
  • Proven track record and experience with Asahi way (or other CI programs) implementation
  • Flexible communication style that is adaptable across a large group of stakeholders
  • Experience in leading leaders & building effective teams
  • Well-developed Project Management skills coupled with Engineering technical knowledge
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Ability to communicate complex problems/strategies into simple stories
  • Proven track record of building and implementing longer term strategies
  • Commercial acumen desirable
