The Finance Manager – Alcohol Commercial Operations will work closely with the Senior Finance Manager - Alcohol Commercial Operations and Alcohol Finance Business Partners to provide financial insights and support decision-making to drive profitability and efficiency of the Alcohol Retail Channel. 

 

 

 12-month secondment role 

  

 

Key responsibilities 

  

  

  • All aspects of Alcohol commercial operations including: month-end close; annual budgeting and monthly forecasting; providing financial analysis and insights on revenue, profit margins and cost trends to guide Business Partner decision making; monitoring KPIs relating to channel performance 

  • Provide insights on sales performance, revenue optimisation, promotional activities, investment/cost control and inventory levels across the value chain. Evaluate sales trends impacts, seasonality, product / customer profitability, analyse brand/category/product mix, promotional effectiveness, and trade spend impacting overall profitability, customer inventory levels etc. 

  • Financial governance including Balance Sheet reconciliations & claims management, credit management, J-SOX compliance, Internal & External Audit support. 

  • Drive process efficiency, effectiveness and consistency, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures 

  

  

About You 

  

  

  • Previous experience as a Finance Manager in retail and/or FMCG environments 

  • Strong financial expertise in forecasting, budgeting, analysis, and performance reporting 

  • Bachelor’s in accounting/finance; CA or CPA qualification preferred 

  • Understanding of the retail value chain, pricing strategies, and inventory management 

  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration and influencing performance through data-driven insights
