Join our Wulkuraka site as a Maintenance Store Officer, where you’ll take ownership of the engineering stores and play a vital role in keeping our operations running.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with mechanical parts, tools, and equipment - whether that comes from a trade background, working on cars, or being naturally handy.

You’ll manage a high-volume inventory of engineering components, ensuring maintenance teams have the right parts at the right time. You’ll also work closely with trades, planners, and suppliers to improve how our stores operate - from layout and systems through to parts accuracy and availability.

If you enjoy being organised, solving problems, and working in a practical environment, this role will give you the chance to make a real impact every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate stock levels and ensure integrity of inventory data
  • Manage multiple stores areas, ensuring parts are easy to locate and accessible
  • Raise purchase orders, source parts, and coordinate with suppliers
  • Conduct regular stocktakes and cycle counts
  • Handle incoming/outgoing goods, including physical movement of stock
  • Work closely with trades and reliability teams to support maintenance activities
  • Work with planners and engineers to improve Bills of Materials, parts history, and inventory processes
  • Contribute to improving stores processes, systems, and layout

About You

  • Previous experience in a stores, inventory, or maintenance environment
  • Background in manufacturing or engineering, with understanding of parts and components
  • Experience using SAP or similar systems, with a proactive approach to improving how stores and inventory are managed
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and inventory integrity
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a large volume of SKUs
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across trades, suppliers, and site teams
  • Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain) is beneficial
  • Comfortable with hands-on work, including lifting and moving stock
