YOUR IMPACT
You strengthen the reliability of Asahi’s production by delivering high‑quality analytical data that production teams trust and act on. You solve day‑to‑day and abnormal analytical issues that directly support product quality, safety and compliance.
Please note: this is a 12mth Secondment opportunity. 
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver specialist analytical support to production, resolving routine and non‑routine issues through hands‑on troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Develop new analytical methods that meet Asahi Way Equipment Policy, ISO/IEC 17025 requirements and customer expectations, safeguarding data quality and traceability.
  • Lead assigned Central Lab projects, driving alignment and agreement with stakeholders to ensure outcomes land as intended.
  • Guide production site laboratories through technical leadership, coaching and collaboration to improve analytical consistency and capability.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment through validation, calibration, fault identification and repair to ensure ongoing analytical reliability.
ABOUT YOU
  • Proven analytical chemistry capability backed by a tertiary qualification in Chemistry and 3–5 years’ experience as an analytical chemist, ideally in food and beverage.
  • Ability to work confidently with chromatographic instrumentation, particularly HPLC and/or GC, and understand calibration and maintenance requirements.
  • Application of ISO/IEC 17025, Good Laboratory Practices and laboratory OHSE expectations with discipline and consistency.
  • Problem solving capability through practical, hands‑on root cause analysis and know when to escalate analytical issues.
  • You can work with autonomy, document clearly, and use SAP and LIMS systems to maintain traceability and data integrity.
