YOUR IMPACT
Based at our Abbotsford, VIC site, this role strengthens the safety and reliability of industrial processes across all operations.
It sets and embeds process engineering and process safety standards that reduce risk to people, assets and operations.
By providing expert guidance to sites and capital projects, the role ensures hazardous processes are designed, operated and improved in line with regulatory and best‑practice requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop process engineering and process safety policies and technical standards, maintaining alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
- Lead process safety management across manufacturing sites, including hazardous area compliance, audits and the application of structured risk methodologies.
- Support manufacturing sites and capital project teams by providing engineering advice on operational issues, environmental systems and safe process design.
- Participate in front‑end engineering and design for large process projects, ensuring production efficiency, cost optimisation and sustainability outcomes are considered.
- Mentor and coach engineers in process design and process safety methods, building capability and consistency across the Supply Chain engineering community.
ABOUT YOU
- You bring deep experience in process engineering and process safety within manufacturing or process‑based industries, applying that expertise in complex operating environments.
- You work confidently with process safety tools such as HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA, FMEA and Bow Tie, using them to identify and control operational risk.
- You are comfortable interpreting Australian Standards and regulatory requirements and translating them into practical engineering solutions.
- You approach technical problems methodically, analysing complex issues and developing sound, defensible engineering outcomes.
- You share knowledge openly, supporting and mentoring other engineers while working effectively across multi‑disciplinary project teams.
