Your Impact

At Asahi Beverages, we're investing heavily in the future of our manufacturing network, and this is your opportunity to play a key role in delivering that transformation.

As a Capital Project Engineer, you'll lead the delivery of engineering and infrastructure projects across our manufacturing sites, managing everything from equipment upgrades and production line improvements through to factory infrastructure and utilities projects.

Working closely with Operations, Maintenance, Safety, Quality and external contractors, you'll take ownership of projects from concept through to commissioning and handover, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career engineer looking to accelerate their development, gain exposure to multimillion-dollar projects, and build a pathway towards senior project engineering and project management roles.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage capital projects from scoping and planning through to execution, commissioning and operational handover

  • Deliver projects safely, on time, within budget and to agreed scope

  • Coordinate contractors, suppliers and engineering partners throughout project delivery

  • Develop project schedules, budgets, business cases and progress reports

  • Partner with site Operations, Maintenance, Safety and Quality teams to ensure successful project outcomes

  • Support engineering design reviews, risk assessments, HAZOPs and safety-in-design activities

  • Ensure compliance with relevant Australian Standards, GMP requirements, HACCP principles and site safety systems

  • Manage project documentation, procurement activities and equipment specifications

  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and manufacturing efficiency gains

  • Build strong stakeholder relationships across site and corporate teams

About You

You are a proactive and solutions-focused engineer who enjoys seeing projects come to life in a manufacturing environment. You take ownership, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and can work independently to drive outcomes.

We're looking for:

  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline

  • 1-5 years' engineering experience within FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical or similar manufacturing environments

  • Exposure to capital projects, process improvements or manufacturing upgrades

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability

  • Experience working cross-functionally with operations, maintenance and contractor teams

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on safety, quality and operational excellence

Experience in Project Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement Engineering or Maintenance Engineering with project exposure will be highly regarded.

Why Join Asahi Beverages?

  • Work on high-profile capital projects worth up to $5 million

  • Gain exposure to major manufacturing upgrades and new equipment installations

  • Take ownership of projects early in your career

  • Collaborate with experienced engineering and project management professionals

  • Build a clear pathway into Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager opportunities

  • Join one of Australia and New Zealand's leading beverage manufacturers
