Inventory Analyst

Location: Southbank, Melbourne

Your Impact

As an Inventory Analyst, you'll play a critical role in helping Asahi Beverages maintain the right stock, in the right place, at the right time. Working within our Supply Chain Planning team, you'll provide valuable analysis and insights that support inventory performance across our national network.

Partnering closely with Supply Planners, Logistics teams and key stakeholders, you'll help optimise inventory levels, identify risks and opportunities, and support business decisions that balance customer service, working capital and operational efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded analyst who enjoys working with data to solve problems and drive continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor inventory levels, stock health and aged inventory to identify trends, risks and opportunities across the network
  • Analyse inventory performance and provide recommendations to support optimal stock positions and service outcomes
  • Maintain accurate inventory data and reporting to support planning decisions and business reviews
  • Produce regular dashboards, reports and insights that enable informed decision-making
  • Support inventory and logistics planning activities, including forecasting, inventory reviews and IBP processes
  • Partner with Supply Planning, Logistics and cross-functional teams to investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance inventory visibility, reporting and operational efficiency
  • Support the ongoing optimisation of inventory processes, systems and planning tools
  • Identify inventory risks and escalate issues with recommended actions to minimise service or stock impacts

About You

You are an analytical and detail-oriented supply chain professional who enjoys turning data into actionable insights. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, can manage competing priorities, and enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to solve complex business challenges.

You'll also bring:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
  • Experience in inventory analysis, inventory planning, supply planning, logistics or a related supply chain function
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
  • Experience using ERP, inventory management or planning systems
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Knowledge of inventory management principles including safety stock, reorder points and stock health
  • Understanding of supply chain performance metrics such as service levels, inventory turns, DIFOT and working capital
  • A continuous improvement mindset with a passion for driving better business outcomes
