As a Packaging Operator at our Abbotsford site, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and ensuring the smooth performance of production machinery to deliver high-quality products.

We’re looking for a self-motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage their time while problem-solving on the go. If you have experience in FMCG, that’s a bonus - but above all, we’re looking for someone who aligns with Asahi’s values of excellence, innovation, and teamwork.

This opportunity is a Fixed-Term Contract ending January 2027.

You must have the ability to work across a 24/5 roster of Day, Night, and Afternoon shifts.


Key responsibilities

• Support a safety culture by following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and conducting safety audits of your work area
• Operation of the packaging machines
• Performing quality control checks to maintain quality standards
• Regular cleaning of machines and work area
• Good communication skills
• Trouble Shooting – resolve any machine/production issues and escalate any issues that can’t be resolved following the escalation procedures
• Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices and 5 S standards
• Loading packaging material in cycle with machine

• Experience in the food/beverage industry will be highly regarded, however, experience within any FMCG/manufacturing environment may be considered

This is a physically demanding position which will involve a high level of walking, lifting heavy objects, pushing and pulling objects, bending and twisting.
