Senior Material Planner

At Asahi Beverages, great planning keeps our breweries, customers and supply chain running. We're looking for an experienced Senior Material Planner to join our Planning team and play a key role in ensuring the right materials are available at the right time, while leading improvements that strengthen our planning capability across the business.

This is an opportunity to step into a leadership position where you'll influence inventory strategy, partner with suppliers and stakeholders across the organisation, and mentor a team while driving continuous improvement.

Your Impact

As our Senior Material Planner, you'll be responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers and material categories, ensuring inventory availability while balancing service, cost and working capital outcomes.

You'll:

  • Lead inventory planning across a portfolio of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Build strong partnerships with Procurement, Logistics, Manufacturing and Supply Planning teams.
  • Manage supplier capacity and inventory strategies to support production and customer demand.
  • Identify supply risks early and communicate mitigation plans to key stakeholders.
  • Drive planning improvements, governance and best practice across the Planning function.
  • Coach and mentor Material Planners, building capability within the team.
  • Analyse planning and inventory data to improve decision-making and performance.
  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives that enhance planning accuracy and service levels.

About You

You'll be an experienced supply chain professional who enjoys solving complex planning challenges while developing others and improving the way teams work.

You'll bring:

  • 5+ years' experience within Supply Chain Planning, Materials Planning or Inventory Planning in an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading, mentoring or coaching planning teams.
  • Strong knowledge of supply planning, inventory management and supplier collaboration.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to turn data into commercial decisions.
  • Experience using ERP and planning systems such as SAP, Kinaxis or similar.
  • Strong Excel capability and confidence working with large data sets.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to influence change.
