Asahi Beverages is one of Australia’s leading beverage companies, home to iconic brands including Asahi Super Dry, Great Northern, Carlton Dry, Vodka Cruiser, Schweppes, Pepsi Max and more. We are currently looking for a commercially minded and relationship-driven Business Development Executive to join our On-Premise team across Sydney’s Southwest territory.
This role is viewed internally as a genuine pathway into Key Account Management and offers exposure to strategic commercial conversations well beyond a traditional execution-focused territory.
Key Accountabilities
Own and grow a strategically important clubs territory across Southwest Sydney
Build strong long-term partnerships with on premise managers, venue stakeholders and boards and CEO’s.
Drive distribution, volume, profitability and executional excellence across Asahi’s multi-beverage portfolio
Identify opportunities to grow ranging, visibility, promotions and in-venue brand presence
Conduct business reviews and leverage commercial insights to drive territory performance
Negotiate local trading terms and support contract discussions where required
Execute the “One Asahi” strategy within your territory across beer, cider, spirits and non-alcoholic beverages
Maintain a highly organised call cycle and territory plan across a large and complex customer base
Prospect and win new business opportunities within the territory
Deliver against sales targets, KPIs and executional standards within the territory
Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through regular and effective call coverage
Monitor venue performance and identify commercial opportunities and risks
Ensure compliance to agreed ranging, pricing and promotional activity
Utilise systems such as Salesforce and reporting tools to manage territory performance and planning
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to support commercial outcomes across the region
Take ownership of territory planning, execution and customer engagement
Drive over-and-above initiatives that positively impact channel performance
About You
Previous FMCG, beverage, hospitality or field sales experience
Territory management or B2B sales experience highly regarded
Experience within clubs, pubs or hospitality environments will be highly advantageous
Confident communicator with the ability to engage professionally with senior stakeholders
Commercially minded with strong negotiation and relationship-building capability
Organised, proactive and comfortable managing a high-volume territory autonomously
Experience using CRM or sales systems such as Salesforce is advantageous
Strong planning, time management and problem-solving capability
Current unrestricted driver’s licence required
