Your Impact

Play a key role in strengthening Safety & Wellbeing assurance, governance and compliance across Asahi Beverages. This senior leadership position will shape a more integrated and risk focused assurance approach, improving visibility of control effectiveness, compliance obligations, critical risks and improvement priorities.

You will lead the evolution of our assurance framework and partner across the business to ensure insights from assurance activity translate into practical, sustainable improvements to our safety management system.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the ongoing development of the Safety & Wellbeing Assurance Framework, strengthening program governance, assurance methodology, planning and reporting.
• Oversee the internal audit and assurance program, ensuring findings and corrective actions are effectively managed, verified and translated into meaningful improvements.
• Lead assurance across critical risks and material controls, providing greater visibility of control effectiveness, emerging themes and priority areas for improvement.
• Strengthen compliance oversight and provide clear, meaningful assurance reporting that supports informed decision making across the organisation.
• Provide strategic oversight of transport related compliance and assurance, working with internal stakeholders, service providers and suppliers to strengthen governance and risk management.
• Lead and develop assurance capability while building strong partnerships across Safety & Wellbeing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Legal, Risk and operational teams.

About You

• Extensive experience across Health, Safety & Wellbeing, governance, assurance, compliance, audit or operational risk, together with demonstrated people leadership experience.
• Strong experience leading or developing assurance frameworks, internal audit programs, critical risk programs or safety management system governance.
• Sound understanding of risk-based assurance, audit methodology and the independent verification of critical controls and corrective actions.
• Knowledge of safety management systems and compliance frameworks, including ISO 45001 and ISO 14001, with relevant audit, assurance or risk certification highly regarded.
• Experience working within manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, transport, utilities or another complex operational environment.
• A strategic and collaborative leader who can interpret complex information, communicate clear assurance insights and influence stakeholders to deliver sustainable improvement.
