This is an opportunity to take ownership of a high-energy, iconic venue and bring the Mountain Goat experience to life, at our brewery in Richmond. As Venue Manager, you’ll lead from the front, driving exceptional service, strong operational performance and a vibrant, community-first atmosphere locals love. You’ll play a key role in shaping the customer experience, growing the venue’s presence, and building a high-performing team.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Lead day-to-day venue operations, ensuring service, compliance, ambience and standards are consistently delivered
  • Manage rosters, stock and operational efficiencies to achieve KPIs across labour, COGS and customer experience
  • Oversee bookings, large group events and brewery tours, ensuring seamless execution
  • Drive continuous improvement of the guest experience across food, beverage and service
  • Collaborate with marketing, brewing and stakeholders to deliver brand initiatives and events
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team, including recruitment, onboarding and performance management
  • Handle escalations and resolve customer or team issues in a timely and professional manner
  • Build strong relationships within the local community to grow the venue profile
  • Identify and implement opportunities for business growth and increased trade
  • Maintain full compliance with RSA, licensing, WH&S and company policies

 

 

About You:

 

  • Proven experience managing a fast-paced hospitality venue
  • Strong leadership capability, with experience building and developing high-performing teams
  • Commercially savvy, with a track record of achieving operational and financial KPIs
  • Passion for hospitality, with a genuine love for beer, food and creating great customer experiences
  • Self-motivated, resilient and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on, proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to juggle competing priorities
  • Experience with events, community engagement and brand activations highly regarded
  • Relevant hospitality qualification or equivalent experience
