Your Impact

We’re looking for a people-focused Brewing Team Leader to lead our brewing and beverages operations at our Cascade Brewery in South Hobart.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll translate production requirements into practical daily and weekly plans, coordinate people and resources, and ensure operations run safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

You’ll maintain a visible presence across the operation, support your team to perform at their best and collaborate with stakeholders across production, planning, maintenance, safety, and quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute daily and weekly production plans
• Lead the safe and efficient production of beer, cider and vinegar
• Coordinate people and resources to meet operational requirements
• Monitor performance and proactively address production issues
• Lead shift meetings and contribute to daily planning forums
• Maintain high standards of safety, quality, hygiene and compliance
• Provide clear direction, coaching and development to team members
• Manage performance and workplace matters in partnership with HR
• Support process improvements and operational change
• Coordinate planned and breakdown maintenance activities

About You

You’re a people-focused leader who can provide clear direction, build strong relationships and navigate the challenges of a busy production environment.

You’ll bring:

• People leadership experience ideally within manufacturing, FMCG, food and beverage production or a similar operational environment
• Strong planning, organisation and problem-solving skills
• Confidence managing performance, promoting accountability and addressing challenges proactively
• Resilience and adaptability when navigating change and competing priorities
• Confidence using Excel and other computer systems
• Brewing, winemaking, beverage production or liquid-processing experience would be advantageous
• An engineering, food science or IBD qualification would be beneficial but not essential
