The Position
Drive the market and supporter research strategy & implementation for World Vision Australia. This role is pivotal in helping us understand, engage and service our supporters, donors, and wider community.
The role will lead the design and execution of both market and supporter research initiatives, including a multi-channel Voice of Supporter programs aimed at enhancing our strategies, improving supporter engagement & experience to drive growth & retention in donations and sponsorships.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, execution, and analysis of market research to understand trends, identify new opportunities, and assess the needs of our target audience
- Analyse data from a variety of sources including surveys, focus groups, and online tools to provide actionable insights into market behaviour
- Design and manage supporter surveys, interviews, and focus groups to gain deeper insights into the motivations, behaviours, and preferences of our supporters
- Identify key segments within our supporter base and offer recommendations for more personalized engagement strategies
- Work closely with the fundraising and engagement teams to translate research findings into effective communication and engagement strategies
- Provide actionable insights to guide the development of targeted campaigns, supporter engagement strategies and supporter experience initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into decision-making processes
- Management of ongoing performance, using coaching skills and to nurture and guide internal resource to achieve highest quality research across the organisation
Who we’re looking for
We are looking for someone with 5+ years’ experience in market research, supporter research or related field ideally in the not-for-profit sector.
You will have:
- Extensive experience designing and leading both qualitative and quantitative research projects
- Experience in implementing a multi-channel Voice of Customer program to drive increase supporter experience for retention and growth
- Proven research experience in overseas aid/NGO sector would be well regarded
- Ability to build and maintain relationship with external research partners
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline with proficiency in research tools and data analysis software (e.g. Qualtrics, Power BI)
