World Vision Australia is seeking an experienced and strategic Insights & Impact Reporting Manager to lead a high-performing team at the intersection of data, strategy, and storytelling. This role is vital in demonstrating the organisation’s impact through compelling insights, engaging visuals, and credible reporting—helping donors, partners, and stakeholders see the difference their support makes.
You’ll lead the development and delivery of high-quality impact reporting and market insights that directly support our corporate strategy, donor engagement, and external reporting—including the Annual Report, donor updates, and accreditation processes. With a strong understanding of data systems, relational databases, and visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI), you’ll ensure data is not just accurate, but actionable and inspiring.
What You’ll Do;
- Lead and mentor the Insights & Impact Reporting team to deliver strong analytical outputs, data translation, and impact communications.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration across internal teams (M&E, Marketing, IT, Program Management, Sponsorship, and Private Funding) and global offices.
- Support key strategic initiatives by embedding impact data into proposals, donor communications, reports, and digital platforms.
- Ensure performance metrics, data frameworks, and the Insights Portal remain aligned with strategy and field impact.
- Commission and interpret research and evaluation activities to strengthen our evidence base.
What You’ll Bring
- Tertiary qualifications in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Science, Information Management, Business Analytics, Engineering, or Communications.
- At least 5+ years’ experience in roles such as data insights analyst, analytics lead, research analyst, or similar—especially where communication of insights was critical.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, translate complex data for non-technical audiences, and communicate impact through visual and written formats.
- Formal leadership training or certification highly regarded.
Experience and Knowledge
- Deep understanding of the international development and humanitarian sector, including donor expectations across institutional, private and mass fundraising streams.
- Strong grasp of design, monitoring & evaluation, theories of change, and outcomes measurement.
- Experience using data for strategy development, proposal design, and formal reporting (e.g. annual reports, accreditation).
- Confident in influencing, stakeholder engagement, and translating evidence into compelling narratives.
- Skilled in visual storytelling tools (e.g. Power BI, infographics) and using data to shape marketing and engagement.
- Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, and competing priorities.
