This is an exciting opportunity to join the fundraising team at Australia’s largest not-for-profit organisation and play a pivotal role in creating sustainable, lasting change for children and communities around the world.

As Philanthropy Manager – Lead, you will inspire and engage individuals with the heart and capacity to make transformational gifts, helping to scale World Vision Australia’s impact. You will lead a dynamic team of philanthropy professionals, nurture a portfolio of major donors, and build deep, meaningful partnerships that drive long-term change.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and develop the Individual Philanthropy team across NSW and the ACT.
  • Build and grow a pipeline of high-net-worth donor opportunities.
  • Develop and implement effective fundraising and engagement strategies aligned with WVA’s mission and goals.
  • Deliver authentic stewardship and exceptional experiences for supporters.
  • Manage your own major gift portfolio, overseeing all stages of the donor journey—from identification to stewardship.
  • Represent World Vision at key events, networks, and philanthropic forums to elevate our brand and influence.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and global partners to maximise impact and collective success.

What you’ll bring:

  • A degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant discipline.
  • Membership of or familiarity with the Fundraising Institute of Australia (FIA) and its code and standards.
  • Mid-senior level experience in major gifts fundraising, donor relationship management, or a related field.
  • Proven success managing and motivating teams to deliver results.
  • Strong experience in moves management and developing long-term donor strategies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A passion for World Vision’s mission and the ability to inspire others to share in it.
