Apply now Job no: 498837
Work type: Permanent
Location: VIC - Metro

Interested in short-term humanitarian deployments or supporting development work across the World Vision partnership?

We’re inviting World Vision Australia staff to express their interest in the Surge Central Roster, part of the partnership’s deployment readiness process.

Humanitarian Response is a whole-Partnership responsibility, taking advantage of skilled staff members across the organization in order to enhance our response capacities and capabilities. As the humanitarian sector continues facing significant challenges, including more entrenched conflicts and climate emergency driving displacement and humanitarian needs upwards, it is critical for WVA to strengthen its capacity to contribute to World Vision International`s (WVI) ability to assist those most vulnerable at the times of crisis.

Following the revamp of the WVI surge process and the establishment of Surge Central, WVA has re-established the internal process to facilitate WVA’s contribution to Surge Central to support the delivery of humanitarian work or fulfill other staffing needs on a temporary basis.

Before you complete your application for the Surge Central Roster, we encourage you to reflect on the reasons why you are making this decision. In addition to this, think about how your skills and experience match the requirements of the emergency response, and what your key competencies are.
