The Position

Are you passionate about empowering young people to become tomorrow’s change makers? Join World Vision as a Relationship Specialist – Schools & Youth and play a key role in inspiring the next generation to stand up for the world’s most vulnerable. In this dynamic and purpose-driven role, you'll lead the charge in building and nurturing partnerships with schools, educational institutions, and youth-focused community groups. You will be responsible to engaging schools in fundraising, education, and advocacy campaigns.

This role is based in Brisbane and will be a fast-paced, relational role that requires you to successfully identify, manage and lead key stakeholders, and influencers. Due to the nature of the role and the regular engagement with World Vision International Offices/Projects out of hours work may be required in this position.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • Developing, implementing and managing a national portfolio of schools to engage in World Vision Australia’s 40HR Famine education campaign
  • Monitoring financial fundraising targets for schools and campaign as a whole and providing real time insights
  • Deliver compelling presentations and workshops that educate and inspire action among young people.
  • Forming partnerships with schools, students, teachers, and principals that excite and empower them to be Change Makers for WVA
  • Proactively pursue and secure new partnerships and participation of 40HR Famine / CSPON/ 1000 Girls Campaign through lead generation
  • Own and achieve individual and campaign-specific KPIs, including targets for school sign-ups, student participation, fundraising totals, and ongoing engagement.

Who we’re looking for 

As the successful applicant, you will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and experience in business development and relationship management.

In addition to this:

  • A natural relationship builder with experience in education, community engagement, or youth leadership.
  • Experience in implementing and developing strategic vision to build on portfolio
  • A confident communicator who can inspire and energise young audiences.
  • Proven ability to manage partnerships, coordinate events, and achieve engagement targets.
  • Willingness to travel and engage with school communities.
  • Experience working in the not for profit or education sector
  • Knowledge of the Education system advantageous
