The Position

Responsible for the development and deployment of innovative, data-driven solutions that shape the strategic direction of marketing initiatives.

This includes collaborating with different stakeholders to identify and formulate business requirements and analysing and understanding current business processes to design and implement effective data products. These products include, but are not limited to, dashboards, data assets, data systems configurations, data models, and campaign data.

The role is also responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and evaluating current analytics products and processes to continually refine and improve solutions. This drives more sophisticated marketing efforts, ultimately increasing revenue, improving retention, and enhancing communications with supporters.

Max Term Contract role until end of September 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize advanced analytical and data mining techniques to generate strategic insights that influence high-level decision making and drive long-term marketing strategies
  • Present comprehensive analysis to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing insightful, relevant, accurate, and practical advice and strategic recommendations
  • Manipulate and analyse large and complex datasets to identify patterns and trends based on supporter attributes and historical transactional data, informing strategic marketing initiatives
  • Evaluate and identify existing business and marketing processes, assessing inefficiencies and recommending optimal business practices and system functionality to enhance strategic outcomes
  • Design and develop advanced technical data-driven solutions, including but not limited to churn analysis, recency, value, product segmentation, and complex descriptive analytics, to support strategic marketing initiatives
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated dashboards to support strategic campaign outcomes, providing comprehensive reporting on supporter, product, and channel performance
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product, sales, finance, and IT, to enhance the understanding and strategic use of data, ensuring the development and implementation of robust marketing and communication strategies

Who we’re looking for 

We are looking for someone with great energy, who is proactive and can foster strong relationships with stakeholders.

You will have:

  • 4+ years’ experience in Analytics or similar role
  • Proven expertise in completing data analysis and developing insights for Marketing purposes
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and presenting findings and recommendations
  • Strong proven experience of using MS SQL to extract, analyse and create data for generating insights
  • Strong skills with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik
  • Experience with Agile ways of working – Azure DevOps, Asana
  • Proficiency in test and learn methodologies
  • Experience leading capability development initiatives in collaboration with Tech teams, requiring a foundational understanding of data engineering to effectively bridge marketing and technical requirements
  • Exposure to Marketing Automation Tech-Stack, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Office365, SharePoint and MS PowerApps
  • Tertiary qualifications in Analytics, Mathematics or similar
