This exciting role will support acquisition teams across World Vision Australia (WVA), other World Vision Support Offices (WVSOs) and World Vision National Offices (WVNOs) to pre-position for and acquire new private and institutional funding for projects that help scale-up FMNR and restore degraded land.

This role leads programming guidance and provides technical advice to priority countries, regions and projects on the FMNR scaling programming approach and FMNR integration into diverse sectoral programming approaches.

Your areas of responsibility:

  • In collaboration with stakeholders from across WVA, other WVSOs and WVNOs, lead/support the design of new projects that support FMNR scaling (i.e., regreening, integrated and FMNR scaling projects)
  • Work cross-functionally with relevant teams across WVA and the World Vision (WV) Partnership to ensure high-quality donor reporting for priority projects
  • Lead the development and implementation of a training plan targeting resource acquisition teams across WVA, other WVSOs and WVNOs
  • Develop, continually iterate, and disseminate technical guidance on the FMNR scaling approach and FMNR integration
  • Regularly communicate and share insights, learnings and emerging best practices from priority projects with relevant stakeholders
  • Review field-facing project reports and Indicator Tracking Tables (ITTs) for priority projects to ensure they meet requirements
  • Participate in project monitoring meetings and field-monitoring visits for priority projects to gather insights on project progress and identify best practices and lessons learned to inform the iteration of the FMNR scaling approach and FMNR integration
  • Actively participates in the FMNR Scale-Up Team’s agile work processes and rhythms

Who we’re looking for: 

We are looking for someone with highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, who has an open mindset and proactive attitude.

You will have:

  • Project design and management experience, ideally within the international aid and development sector
  • Experience developing and rolling-out technical guidance and training 
  • Experience training, coaching and mentoring others
  • Experience working with diverse teams and cross-culturally to achieve shared outcomes
  • An agile and problem-solving mindset
  • Experience working in environment/climate/landscape restoration/natural resource management (desirable)
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (i.e., international development, natural resource management, environmental science, public health, business, economics etc.)
