If you take pride in getting the details right and want your work to have a direct impact on patient care, this ongoing full-time opportunity with the Northern Adelaide Local Health Network (NALHN) is worth your attention.

What You'll Be Doing

Working across NALHN's hospital sites — including Lyell McEwin Hospital — you'll be the administrative backbone of the Pre-Admission Clinic, ensuring patients and clinical teams have what they need before surgery day arrives. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating patient bookings, appointments, and pre-admission documentation with accuracy and care
  • Liaising with clinical staff, patients, and external providers to confirm patient readiness and information
  • Managing health records, data entry, and correspondence in line with SA Health standards and privacy legislation
  • Supporting clinic workflow by identifying and resolving scheduling or administrative issues in a timely manner
What You'll Bring
  • Demonstrated experience in an administrative or clerical role, ideally within a health or community services setting
  • Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail in data entry and records management
  • Confident communicator who can engage respectfully with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary clinical teams
  • Proficiency in office software and the ability to learn health information systems such as EPAS or WebPAS
  • Ability to manage competing priorities across a busy clinic environment with composure
  • Understanding of, or willingness to learn, SA Health administrative policies and patient confidentiality requirements

About You:

In this role you will have strong interpersonal and communication skills which will enable you to successfully problem solve, resolve conflicts and negotiate, including the ability to engage in difficult conversations, whilst building and maintaining relationships. An ability to effectively manage multiple, diverse and competing priorities and demonstrated resilience within a stressful and complex environment is essential to this role.

You will be joining a dynamic and expanding Local Health Network that is committed to delivering contemporary, innovative and high‑quality health services within modern facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a passionate, highly driven, dedicated and progressive team.
