| The Emergency Medical Dispatcher plays a critical role in SA Ambulance Service, providing 24/7 emergency call-taking, dispatch and coordination of pre-hospital care and ambulance transport across South Australia. This role focuses on coordinating ambulance resources in regional areas, requiring strong problem-solving, analytical and communication skills to navigate logistical challenges, limited infrastructure and the unique demands of a largely volunteer workforce. The position works collaboratively with other emergency service providers to ensure timely, effective responses to emergencies and may be required to support all dispatch areas within the EOC. |
